Carolina Hurricanes, NHL, Welcome Letter

The National Hockey Now network is expanding, continuing their unmatched coverage of teams across the NHL.
Carolina Hockey Now is live and will serve as the home for top notch coverage of the Carolina Hurricanes.

From growing up as a fan to covering the Bunch of Jerks as a journalist, I’ve seen the highs and lows and ebbs and flows in Raleigh.

Now, I’m excited to be the home of Hurricanes hockey news and be a source for hockey fans in the Triangle. We are excited to bring inside access to the team, providing breaking news, feature stories, interviews, and much more inside PNC Arena.

Since the arrival of Rod Brind’Amour, Carolina has consistently found themselves in the postseason and oftentimes atop the Metropolitan Division. Couple the lofty expectations with the unrivaled fanbase and it was a no brainer to assist in the creation of Carolina Hockey Now.

As various outlets are weaning off their coverage of the Hurricanes, it is important to showcase the special times in Raleigh and become a go-to spot for coverage.

I reside in Raleigh and have experience in the world of sports journalism dating back to 2015. I have also spent time covering college and high school sports as a Sports Editor for a local newspaper.

For now, it is just me, but I won’t be alone when the season starts, as Carolina Hockey Now will have a dedicated staff for fans in the City of Oaks.

With a passionate fanbase comes opinions, ideas, and, of course, critiques. We want to build a site that provides what the fans want and feedback is important.

National Hockey Now, which covers 20 teams across the National Hockey League, is dedicated to bringing you unprecedented coverage of your favorite team.

Although preseason hockey sits over two months away, we can’t wait to keep you up to date on the latest offseason transactions and noteworthy storylines heading into September.
