On Friday, Don Waddell and the Carolina Hurricanes announced the team’s roster for the 2023 Southeast Rookie Showcase, which will take place at Hertz Arena in Estero, Fla. from Sept. 15-18.

Thirteen Carolina draft picks and 22 players overall will don a Canes uniform in the event, including 2023 second round pick Felix Unger Sorum and Vasily Ponomarev, who will likely vie for a spot as the team’s fourth-line center in training camp.

Players who are on an entry-level contract, or an invitee, are eligible for the event if they are 24 years of age or under and have accrued less than 20 games of time at the NHL level.

As part of the four-team event, which Carolina hosted in 2022, they will face-off against Nashville, Tampa Bay, and Florida.

Below is the released schedule for the three-day event.
